For my Synthesis Essay, I wrote about societal norms and how people are pressured to follow them, especially when it comes to language. In my first draft, I focused on getting my ideas down and sharing my perspective. During revisions, I worked on clarifying my points, organizing my examples, and connecting them to bigger social patterns. Revising helped me make my argument stronger and show more clearly how society shapes the way we use language.
